Margot was born and raised in Weslaco, TX. She graduated from Weslaco High School in 1993, and is currently attending Southwest Tennessee Community College. Before joining the Streets staff in the summer of 2010, she worked for Mario E. Ramirez Juvenile Detention Center with the Juvenile Court Conference Committee, as well as working for several radio stations as producer, programmer, radio personality and supervisor. She has been working with youth for more than twelve years as a youth worker, motivational speaker, teacher, and counselor. Margot's experiences and struggles as a teenager have engrained in her a desire to help others who have experienced similar situations. In 2003, she received her certification as Family Counselor in 2005 and in 2010, founded Family Revolution, a non-profit organization that offers support to parents and high-risk high school and middle students. She is now working at Streets because she loves working with youth and their families, and in her spare time, Margot loves watching movies and hanging out with friends.
