Ruth Abigail grew up in Houston, TX and went to college at Furman University. In 2009, she graduated with a degree in both Communication and Music. In Houston, Ruth worked for the National Diversity Council as Events Coordinator. She has spent a great deal of her time volunteering at an Inner City Christian school in Houston, as well as getting involved in music ministry and women’s small groups in a local Houston church. Ruth Abigail moved to Memphis in 2010 when her father was called into ministry here, and she recently became a member of Hope Presbyterian Church. She was hired at Streets Ministries in November, 2010 “to make a difference in the lives of young people…that are often neglected”, and she is looking forward to combining her passion for Christ with her passion for impacting this generation. In her spare time, Ruth Abigail enjoys teaching music, watching movies, eating good food, roller skating, and being with her friends.
