Sarah grew up in the Jackson, Missouri area where she attended Jackson High School and graduated in 2005. She went on to obtain her BA in Early Childhood Education from Cedarville University and did her student teaching at a school in Quito, Ecuador. Sarah worked on the urban staff for Youth Works, a group that organizes mission trips, and volunteered as a tutor for a literacy center in Springfield, Illinois. She also volunteered as a Teacher's Assistant at a school in the Dominican Republic for Kids Alive International. In July of 2009, she moved to the Memphis area and began her position serving the elementary students at Streets. Sarah loves to travel, play games, eat, hang out with kids, and is a reality TV fan. She came to Streets in order to help kids escape the cycle of poverty and impact them for Christ.
